Rohatsu Sesshin : November 29-December 6, 2020
November 29 @ 5:00 pm - December 6 @ 1:00 pm
Join us for our 7-day Rohatsu Sesshin from Sunday November 29 through Sunday December 6, 2019. This annual deep winter event is an incomparable opportunity to deepen our practice, and to sink into the boundless reality of the Dharma as we commemorate Shakyamuni’s awakening. Join us for this powerful week of practice, the most auspicious sesshin of the year.
If you haven’t attended a sesshin with us at Mountain Cloud, or if you are curious, click here to see a sample schedule.

Please arrive between 4pm and 6pm on Sunday, November 29. We will have supper at 6pm followed by a short meeting regarding housekeeping and job assignments. Please try to make it for the dinner if you can. The official sitting will start at 7.30 in the zendo.
Part Time: If you need to attend the sesshin part time, please contact Henry for approval. There is no part time payment, however. All participants must pay the full fee.
Please note: Sesshin is a rigorous and at times challenging meditation retreat that is not necessarily recommended for beginners. If you have not previously done extended sitting or participated in one of our weekend Introductory retreats, please let us know and we can help you decide if perhaps another retreat is a better starting place for you.
Please contact our administrator Johanna if you have any questions or concerns.
We don’t yet know when Mountain Cloud will reopen for on-site retreats. Check back later this summer about the status of Rohatsu and registration.
