Spring Sesshin 2020: March 9-15, Retreat is full
March 9 @ 5:00 pm - March 15 @ 1:00 pm
Registration is closed. The Spring Sesshin is full. Contact Johanna if you need to make a payment. Or click here to make a payment online.
Our 6-day Spring sesshin is from March 9-15, 2020. Please join us for this early spring offering of sitting, walking, and work practice. Participants will also have opportunities for private interviews with the teachers. Our resident teacher Henry Shukman will be joined by Valerie Forstman Roshi to co-teach this retreat. Valerie began Zen practice with Ruben Habito in 1994 and is a teacher at the Maria Kannon Zen Center in Dallas Texas. She also serves as guiding teacher of the Fort Worth Zendo and the Dancing Crane Zen Center in Gainesville, FL. She is Assistant Dean for Common Life at Brite Divinity School in Fort Worth. Please join us for this unique and exciting opportunity to participate in a sesshin led by two Sanbo Zen teachers.
Each day will begin 6am and end at 9pm. There will be plenty of outdoor practice, both walking and sitting, and we will use some of the samu time (work practice) to help tend the land and facilities at Mountain Cloud. Click here for a sample schedule
