DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, November 19th  |  5:30–6:30 PM\nMeditation begins at 5:30 pm MT\, followed by the talk and discussion at 6:00 pm MT \nLed by Abby Shepard\, this evening features meditation\, a brief practice share\, an opportunity to ask questions\, and a chance to share your experiences with practice. Abby’s practice share is about “Facing Our Collective Egos” and ways she practices with societal conditioning\, such as colonialism\, that prevents us from fully embodying our realization of interbeing and contributes to the immense harm we see being enacted in the world. \nThese sessions are designed to enhance your practice and also provide an opportunity to connect with the local sangha community. This hybrid event is free and registration is not required. They’re also a community organizer and musician. Since encountering mindfulness meditation in 2018\, Abby has been passionate about weaving the practice into various areas of engagement\, from community organizing to music to program management. They are a 200-hour certified Skill in Action yoga facilitator\, and her practice spans multiple lineages in Yoga and Buddhism including Theravada\, Zen\, and the Eight-Limb Path of Yoga.
