DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, March 26th  |  5:30–6:30 PM\nMeditation begins at 5:30 pm MT\, followed by the Dharma Talk (teisho) at 6:00 pm MT \nLed by Abby Shepard\, this evening features meditation\, a brief dharma talk\, an opportunity to ask questions\, and a chance to share your experiences with practice. Abby’s talk is titled\, “We are the River” and will connect Zen practice with action taken on behalf of Earth and non-human beings. \nThese sessions are designed to enhance your practice and also provide an opportunity to connect with the local sangha community. This hybrid event is free and registration is not required. They’re also a community organizer and musician. Since encountering mindfulness meditation in 2018\, Abby has been passionate about weaving the practice into various areas of engagement\, from community organizing to music to program management. They are a 200-hour certified Skill in Action yoga facilitator\, and her practice spans multiple lineages in Yoga and Buddhism including Theravada\, Zen\, and the Eight-Limb Path of Yoga.
