…it is so worth it
Meditation is a challenging practice for sure. Sometimes it’s hard enough even to find a little peace. Harder still to get a glimpse of the great source of all peace. And even harder to stay with it, to not get tossed away.
It’s so easy to get lost, to forget realities we have seen, to get caught again and again in delusion.
But it is so worth it.
To be able to correct when we are “off” – to have a method and way and practice of correcting — that alone is a great blessing in life, not only for us but for those around us.
But to taste the great Way that encompasses all, to discover this side of experience, which “predates heaven and earth” (in the words of one sutra), in which all is healed, from which we can in time learn to live lives that are more aligned with well-being and flourishing, even in times of crisis — this seems like it’s worth any amount of effort.
