… primordial absence in Taoism or emptiness in Buddhism ...”

primordial absence shukman

Description: Henry describes love as the origin. This origin is primordial absence in Taoism or emptiness in Buddhism. It’s basically coming to the point where there is no thing, simply nothing at all. These are words that are trying to label an experience of this very moment. Henry is calling it original love: an utter falling away of everything.

And, here’s a link to our YouTube video of this talk.

Last week Henry subbed for Rick Hanson’s Wednesday meditation and I listened to the recording today. It finished and before even listening to his talk I clicked through to Mountain Cloud, became a member and listened to Original Love.
Since George Floyd’s murder I’ve wondered how can I help. What can I do. And I don’t know that answer yet, but the take away today from this talk he gave June of last year, I know, like the Clarkson character described in the book, I’ll keep “going to the woods” seeking an answer. To sit still, to open my heart, to practice, practice practice. I’m very grateful for having found Mountain Cloud and Henry. A warm aloha from Kauai.
