Join us for a special Ecodharma sesshin with Zen teacher and Ecodharma author David Loy. This retreat will infuse David’s experience leading Ecodharma retreats with some of the traditional Sanbo Zen sesshin structure. There will be extended opportunities to practice with the land, to explore our oneness with non-human kin, contend with the realities of our time, and resource ourselves so we may re-enter the world with the clarity, nourishment, and focus needed to engage skillfully in support of the liberation of all beings.

David will be leading the retreat from Mountain Cloud’s zendo. This retreat will be the conclusion of our Ecodharma residency month.

Registration is now open. Register here.

This sesshin combines our traditional zen sesshin format with the format David has perfected for “ecodharma” at the Rocky Mountain Ecodharma Retreat Center in Colorado. Some notable differences include:

  • Extended time sitting zazen and walking meditation outside.
  • Talks and discussion on connecting with nature and our bodhisattva path led by long-time Sanbo Zen and Ecodharma teacher David Loy.
  • Full day “solo” on some 24 acres of our land to cultivate your practice-relationship with nature.
  • 7 day retreat (as opposed to our usual 6-day)
  • All vegan meals
