Mountain Cloud COVID-19 Policy
Daily Visitors – Not Staying Overnight
- If you are COVID-19 positive, have tested positive within the last 5 days, are displaying symptoms of COVID-19 (including fever, chills, cough, sneezing, runny nose, or a new rash), or have been in recent contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive, do not visit the MCZC campus until you have tested negative (in the event that you have COVID-19) and have been symptom free for five days. If you are displaying symptoms of illness during an event that may put others at risk, you may be asked to leave.
- If you are elderly, immunocompromised, or otherwise concerned about infection, please know that we do not require vaccination from our daily participants. We encourage, but do not require, those concerned about infection from others to wear a mask covering your nose and mouth throughout your visit to MCZC and while sitting in the zendo. KN95 or equivalent masks are recommended as they do help decrease the transmission of airborne pathogens.
- As a general practice to slow the spread of COVID-19, we encourage all daily visitors to engage in periodic at-home testing before engaging with new groups of people. For anybody traveling to the center we ask that you practice masking in large groups, do not sustain contact with anybody known to have the flu or Covid-19, and practice preventative measures such as regular handwashing.
Overnight Visitors & Mulit-Day Retreat Commuters – Any Duration
- All overnight guests are required to sign a liability waiver and will be asked by the registrar to both a) self verify lack of symptoms and b) show a negative Covid-19 test (this can be provided either via photograph or in person). You can either take a PCR test within 96 hours of arrival or a same-day antigen test both the day before arrival and the day of arrival.
- If you do not arrive with a negative test, you will be provided one prior to admittance. Testing for COVID-19 throughout the duration of your stay may be required.
- For anybody traveling to the center we ask that you practice masking in large groups, do not sustain contact with anybody known to have the flu or Covid-19, and practice preventative measures such as regular handwashing.
- If, during your stay, you become COVID-19 positive, are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, or learn you have been in recent contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive, you must take reasonable steps to isolate yourself from others and may have to leave campus if isolation is not possible (for example, during retreats). In joining our community as an overnight guest, you assume all responsibility and expense in the event you must leave the facility early.
