Wisdom Wednesday: “Two Rivers, One Ocean: Sufism and Zen” with Rob Rozehnal

Meditation begins at 5:30 pm MT, followed by the practice share and discussion at 6:00 pm MT

Led by Rob Rozehnal, this evening features meditation, a brief practice share, an opportunity to ask questions, and a chance to share your experiences with practice. Rob will discuss the connections between his academic work on Sufism and practice in Zen.

These sessions are designed to enhance your practice and also provide an opportunity to connect with the local sangha community. This hybrid event is free and registration is not required. Please arrive five to ten minutes ahead of the scheduled time.

Rob Rozehnal is Professor and Chair of the Department of Religion, Culture & Society and the founding director of the Center for Global Islamic Studies at Lehigh University (Bethlehem, Pennsylvania). His academic work focuses on Sufism (Islamic Mysticism) in India and Pakistan—and, more recently, the use of digital media by American Sufi communities. Born and raised in Colorado, he lives in Madison, New Jersey. A Mountain Cloud member, he has been a student of Valerie Forstman since August 2022.
