Rohatsu Sesshin: December 5-11

Rohatsu 2022 led by Henry Shukman and Valerie Forstman
Dates: December 5-11
Join us for this annual sesshin commemorating the awakening of Shakyamuni Buddha. Both Henry and Valerie will be leading the session from Mountain Cloud’s zendo. Rohatsu will be a hybrid retreat this year and is considered the most auspicious retreat of the year.
On-Site Attendance (Closed)
If you are interested in attending in person, please contact Johanna to get your name on our list. Please note that MCZC members and students have priority for onsite attendance. On-site attendance is full.
Click here to read our COVID-19 Protocols.
On-line Attendance
The retreat will also be streamed from our zendo for our online community. On-line attendees can attend full or part time; you can attend part of the day or the full day. Online attendance is a good way to wade into a multi-day silent retreat. The on-line retreat begins on Tuesday, December 6 with early sitting at 6am MT. An orientation for all will occur on Tuesday morning at 9:30am MT
Teisho-only attendance
If you are interested in attending the teisho which should start at 10 or 10:30am Mountain Time, click here to register for the retreat and pay an amount that works for you. You may attend the sitting period that starts at 9:30am MT prior to the daily dharma talk.

For example you may choose to do the Main Block each day which includes the daily dharma talk, sitting, guidance from a teacher, lunch and more sitting, movement and Q&A in the afternoon.
All dharma talks will be recorded and made available to participants a week or two following the retreat. We are also planning to have talks available within 24 hours for virtual attendees to watch. A link with the talk will be sent out each day.
