Wisdom Wednesday: “Sitting With Old Age: A Mountain Cloud Inquiry” with Karen Klinefelter and John Braman

Meditation begins at 5:30 pm MT, followed by the practice share and discussion at 6:00 pm MT
Led by Karen Klinefelter and John Braman, this evening features meditation, a brief practice share, an opportunity to ask questions, and a chance to share your experiences with practice.
Karen and John’s share is titled, “Sitting With Old Age: A Mountain Cloud Inquiry.” Karen and John will draw on their experience in our Aging Buddhas group and their own personal practice to share how the Dharma shows up for them as they age.
These sessions are designed to enhance your practice and also provide an opportunity to connect with the local sangha community. This hybrid event is free and registration is not required. Please arrive five to ten minutes ahead of the scheduled time.

John Braman is a 10-year Mountain Cloud member, past member of the Board of Directors, and current member of the Accessibility Committee. His career has been dedicated to transformative education for learners of all ages, including interfaith and intercultural awareness, anti-bias training and nature-based learning. He directed Albuquerque Academy’s experiential education division for 10 years. He also founded and directed the Center for Peaceable Schools at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. In 2003, he was awarded Mind and Life’s “Changemaker of the Year” for development of an Indigenous Mindfulness program in collaboration with Native elders. He is a certified mindfulness facilitator with diplomas from Inward Bound Mindfulness Education (iBme) with Jessica Morey, lead teacher, and Original Love, with Henry Shukman, lead teacher.
