Kieran Mead-Ward, has worked as a public school teacher and unschool-teacher, lived at a handful of retreat centers, and relied on meditation for his sanity since high school. His eclectic yet mostly-not-chaotic spiritual affinites range from Advaita to Zen via Marx. He has abiding attractions to Shikantaza / Dzogchen type meditation emphases, filled out by Jean Klein’s body-awareness and Douglas Harding’s headlessness. He’s an inconsistent animal justice advocate and a patchy guitar player, writer, anarcho-socialist-ish-confusenik, and recorder of improvised spoken rant
